For Democrats celebrating failure has become their clarion call. The greater a politician’s ability to blame others with authoritarian command of the “facts” as he/she defines those facts… aka “whining”… the more celebrated they become.
Enter insufferable New York governor Andrew Cuomo.
Cuomo has become the darling of the mainstream, the Dem’s dream candidate to replace cognitively challenged Joe Biden.
With #DropOutBiden trending on social media , it’s just a matter of time before Democrats move to remove Biden in an attempt to unify the party.
Cuomo would appear to be the Dems’ ideal candidate… he can complete a coherent sentence while blaming President Trump for his mistakes.
While President Trump gets hammered by the rabid f*ckTrump media on a daily basis, NY’s Governor Cuomo is celebrated… But, for what?
Even though NY is as far from China, where the virus originated, his state is the epicenter of death in the United States. By a huge margin.
Despite having the most renowned healthcare system in the world, New York state’s total deaths per million residents is 11 times the deaths per million of the rest of the United States. New York City’s mortality rate is even worse.
Subtract the northern part of New Jersey, infected by commuters who travel the NY-NJ transit hubs, and the number of deaths per million residents in NY grows to 13 times higher than the national average for the rest of the US minus the NY/NJ metro area…
In fact, the states suffering the greatest deaths per million population are, in order, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Louisiana, Michigan, DC, Rhode Island, Maryland, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Delaware… all bastions of liberalism, progressivism, overspending and sanctuary policies… But, don’t blame that for their spending and contagion problems.
Yet Cuomo is great at making it sound like President Trump is to blame… not China, oh no heaven forbid we blame China… even though the governor has been wrong on just about everything he’s whined about.
His state was not prepared
His budget was ill-prepared to handle a crisis because his profligate spending was used to provide sanctuary for non-citizens
He cried wolf on the number of ventilators that would be needed (30,000) vs. the 4,000 that Trump sent him that proved to be sufficient
He grossly overstated the number of hospital beds that he projected would be needed
Cuomo, ever the pompous ass… something that’s viewed as an asset among virtue-signaling, self-important liberals and progressives… actually had this exchange with a reporter who dared challenge him with a tougher, not tough, question.
Reporter: Governor, people are out of work, people are starving. We’ve shut down the economy here, people have no jobs, they’re being fired, they can’t feed their kids, they’re really worried about what’s going to happen tomorrow. What’s your answer to that because you don’t seem to have an exit plan to this shutdown…
Cuomo: You want to go to work, go take a job as an essential worker. Do it tomorrow. You’re working. Take a job as an essential worker… now you can go to work and you’re not going to kill anyone.
Heed the imperial ass, for he has spoken. Let them eat cake!
No money? Can’t feed the kids? Drop everything and borrow money to take an online course to become qualified for a job that won’t be needed by the time you finish your studies.
This passes for brilliant among those arrogant progressives who claim to be so much smarter than the rest of us.
Oh, and the part about not killing anyone… he’s an effing stooge. My cousin was in a physical rehab facility and the only people allowed in and out of her room were essential workers… she got the Wuhan virus.
The transmission of the virus from essential workers – the remainder of us are not essential – to some patients has to be expected. If not, why are we in lockdown? Does being designated an essential worker somehow imbue one with immunity?
In fact, we celebrate these workers as heroes precisely because they are putting themselves in harm’s way. And, all the while they’re moving from one compromised patient to another.
